During the year of 2021, Lionesa Group has committed to support and make a difference at Matosinhos Market.
In an interview for Jornal de Matosinhos, Pedro Pinto, Lionesa’s Group CEO, reveals that this support to the city’s Market appears from the similarities that this market has with Lionesa: it´s farewell to the past, but keeping, in much, the same and its contribution to the happiness of those who visit it. This is one the main pillars of Lionesa Group, to make Porto and North of Portugal an happier place and Matosinhos Market brings a strong contribute to this purpose.
Regarding its goals and its concern to enhance the territory, Lionesa Group seeks to help the local community, even more, during this difficult period. As said by Pedro Pinto, “Lionesa made sure to support the restaurants and small businesses, allowing its international community of workers at Lionesa Business Hub to have contact with the territory.”. An example of this has been the support actions at the Matosinhos Market, such as the initiative “Vi ( r )ver o Mercado”, which offered 150 meals and 50 vouchers to the Lionesa BH community members, to be consumed in local commerce, and as financial support.
Besides Matosinhos Market, Lionesa Group always seeks to enhance the territory, valuing its different characteristics: airport, Via Norte, Atlantic coast, gastronomy, green spaces in growth and cultural heritage. “Lionesa and the Municipality converge in the concern to guarantee a sustainable development, having in mind the best practices and the creation of spaces that provide well-being experiences”, says the Group’s CEO.
